Having Your Own Affiliate Program

If you'd like total control why not just create your own affiliate program like I did. It's not tough work at all. The products that I sell in my resell rights package weren't even created by me. I simply bought the master resell rights to all the products, including the salesletter for the package, and I used an affiliate program manager which costs me $25 a month.

You don't need to create a 2-tiered program to profit. You can simply use Clickbank to run your single-tiered affiliate program. They let you pay your affiliates up to 75% commission. If you want serious profits though, a $25 investment is not much when you count all the extra profit you can achieve with a two-tiered program. You can check out ThirdSphereHosting.com for the multi-tiered affiliate program solutions. They run the same script that QuickPayPro.com uses, but at $20 less.

Now if you're strapped for cash, you can find some free affiliate program management tools at hotscripts.com for cheap or free, but they don't offer all the benefits of ThirdSphereHosting.com, which offers much more than affiliate management.

Some Affiliate Program Benefits Most People Overlook

The main benefit that most people see in having an affiliate program is that you have other people helping to spread your advertising.

Remember if you require people to give you their email address to join your program then you have an email to sell backend products. That's one benefit that's overlooked.

The second benefit is by having more affiliates linking to your site, you can improve your link popularity and your search engine ranking. That's free traffic for your site. If you attract 3,000 affiliates, that's a potential 3,000 incoming links.

I choose to offer 80% commission for my products because of the two benefits above. Although I'm losing 80% of my profits I gain much more from having more email addresses on my list and also gaining free traffic from the search engines.

Most people don't understand the idea of the lifetime value of a customer. They can only think about the 80% that could have been theirs. A list of customers is much more valuable than 80% in lost profits. People who have bought from you before will more likely buy from you again if they like your product. So if you're still offering only 25% commission to your affiliates, raise it and see what happens.

Here again are the benefits of offering high commissions:

    • get emails of your affiliates
    • get emails of more customers
    • better search engine ranking
    • build your name and fame
    • you're seen as more generous and credible
    • you get more joint venture partners

Case Study: Armand Morin, the internet marketer who made 4 million dollars in his first 12 weeks online knows the benefits of attracting affiliates. That's why he started his own affiliate training center to offer free training. He gained 3,000 affiliates in the first month of offering his training center.

He knows that if he trains his affiliates, they will help him sell his products. His hope is that many of his affiliates will even buy his products.

One disadvantage of having an affiliate program is that your affiliates could get you shut down for spam complaints. Spam laws are very harsh to business owners nowadays and if your business is tied to an affiliate who spams, you risk the chance of being shut down.

One way to protect yourself is to be choosy about who you allow to become affiliates. You could also give your affiliate good training so they won't be tempted to spam.

Even though it's so easy to compile an ebook like this one to give away. I know some people won't do it for one reason or another so I created this ebook with those people in mind.

Follow the simple steps below and you'll be profitting within 5 minutes.

You can sign up for Wealthysecrets and put your affiliate link into this ebook. When you give away this informative ebook, you will get $10 on two tiers like I explained above. It's only $1 to sign up, and if by chance you don't get anyone to sign up under you by giving this ebook away, (very unlikely, since I've been using this technique that I teach you for months and I've always made back my initial investment for each ebook) you can cancel and you've only risked $1.

If you don't want to take the 5 minutes to brand this ebook, you can still give it to people for free and collect email addresses. Remember though that whoever you received this ebook from will get the commissions and not you.
