Here's
another idea for you if you don't like to create reports and
articles. Instead of giving away informative reports, give
away a script. Here's a case study.
The
other day I got an ebook from David Zohar of ebooksdeal.com
The ebook contains code for a script which allows me to turn
my clickbank hop link (which is really ugly) into a link that
includes my site's domain name.
For example turn
http://hop.clickbank.net/?affiliate/merchant
into
http://www.yourwebsite.com/go.php/r=affiliate
It's
a very cool and useful script. David allows people who download
the ebook to rebrand it with their own affiliate links to
two programs Host4profit and Stone Evan's Plugin Profit Site.
Although these are free programs, there's no reason why he
couldn't promote paid to signup programs like Wealthysecrets.
If
you like this idea, you can find useful scripts that have
free resell rights in many resell rights packages such as
www.onesourcebiz.com
or you can create your own unique script by having programmers
create one at rentacoder.com
If
you use Rentacoder, you can save some money by looking for
some GNU scripts (open source) at hotscripts.com
and let the programmer have something to work from. Scripts
can be very inexpensive. Create once and profit many times.
That's what I love about doing business online.
Here are some more ideas for what to include
in your ebooks.
a.) Provide a compilation of tips. Harvey
Segal did that with his
101
Supertips for internet marketing.
b.) Compile interviews with experts. This
way you'll have a better chance of the experts promoting
your ebook for you since they're in the ebook. I've seen
ebooks with compilation of interviews with ezine publishers,
ebook writers, and article writers.
c.) Record videos showing people how you use
certain programs. One internet marketer, Frank Kern, recorded
videos showing people how to set up website hosting using
the same hosting account that he uses. He got thousands
of people to sign up for that hosting account.
I
recommend an autoresponder service that offers 2-tiered
commissions. You can create a video showing people how to
use that autoresponder, place the video inside an ebook
and let people rebrand the ebook and pass it around to earn
you 2nd-tier commissions.
The autoresponder service is Aweber
The
software that allows you to create videos on your computer
screen is Camtasia
Studio. It's a little pricey at $299 so get it if you're
planning to do a lot of videos. Otherwise you can just hire
someone to create the videos for you on a freelance site.
Case
Study: Priya Shah and Satyajeet Hattangadi
recently release a compilation of free resources. It
is not just any resources you can find on any freebie
site. You can actually get tools and software that others
are charging lots of money to have. I actually used
one of their free resources to create a disclaimer for
RebrandProfits.com.
You can check out the ebook here.
You'll
notice that you can rebrand the ebook and pass it around
to earn commissions for their affiliate programs. The
ebook is so good that I would pass it around without
any incentives but since they allow me to rebrand it,
why not? One thing, I have to join their affiliate program
to brand the ebook. They now have my email address.
This is a good way to build your affiliate team if you
have a program. Remember email address = Ca$h.

What topic should you
choose to focus your ebook on?
Since
these techniques are so dependent on the type of affiliate
program(s) that you promote, I think you should focus on what
topics are related to the programs that you promote.
For
example, if you promote a resell rights package, you can compile
a bunch of articles teaching people how to make money with
resell rights, compile a few interviews with people who make
money using resell rights, provide short tips about resell
rights, provide a tool to help resell rights owners automate
their business.
Do
you see how you can adapt this to just about any topic? All
the 2-tier programs that I have listed below contain many
different topics or niches that you can target.
Here are some rules to
follow so that your viral campaign has the most impact.
1. Make
sure that what you're giving away is informative. You must
create something good enough so that readers would give
it away even if they didn't have an incentive to give it
away. The more unique and/or useful your ebook, the better.
2.
Make sure your topic is targeted to a specific niche. For
example, target people who like to make money with resell
rights or people who like to promote their sites through
pay per click search engines, or people who like to promote
through ezines etc. The tighter your topic, the better your
results.
3. You
must choose an affiliate program that is relevant to your
ebook. If you compile an ebook about resell rights, then
having an affiliate program that promotes a resell rights
package or membership site is better. This makes it easier
for the reader to join the program because it's more targeted.
So
in the case of the ebook with the script showing how to
change the ugly Clickbank link into the much better and
more search engine friendly one, I would promote products
that are targeted towards affiliates or affiliate managers
such as a link cloaker software or affiliate management
tool.
3. If
you only promote one affiliate program in your ebook then
you'll get more focus on that affiliate program. There are
also many benefits of promoting more than one affiliate
program in the ebook.
Let's
say that some readers are already members of the program
that you're promoting in your ebook. You'll lose out on
their commission. If you're promoting two affiliate programs
then there's more chance that they won't be a member of
the second program.
People
don't like the idea of losing out on profits that could
easily be theirs so if you promote two programs then they'll
want to rebrand both program's links in order not to lose
out on any profits. If they don't brand both links then
you'll receive the commission instead of them. Either way,
you win!
In
case you're thinking, the more programs you promote the
better, let me steer you the right way. More is not necessarily
better. The goal of your ebook is to give people informative
information that they will be able to use. If the information
is focused and the programs you promote are focused then
you will get more people to click on the links.
If
you provide too many links, and too many choices the reader
will get too confused and will not do anything with your
information which means they will not click on any links.
Heed my advice and stick with promoting only several programs
that are targeted to the information contained in the ebook.
4. Unless you run the affiliate
program, you must choose a program that:
- pays on more than one tier
- allows you to recruit sub-affiliates
- requires payment to join the program.
This makes
it so that you can benefit if the reader chooses to rebrand
the ebook. For the Wealthysecrets example, I get $10 for
second tier commissions so every membership that my direct
affiliate promotes, I get $10. That's for no effort on
my part.
Here
are a few good multi-tiered affiliate programs and why I
think they are good programs to promote using creative rebranding
techniques.
Wealthysecrets
Newsletter - residual
payment, $1 trial, good support material,
rebrandable ebooks
Push
Button Publishing - residual
payment, rebrandable
ebooks
Exclusive: 5 tiers. That means if Joe refers Josh, and Josh
refers John, and John refers Monica, and Monica refers Sandy,
you get paid for all those people monthly. In theory, you
could refer 1 superaffiliate and make quite a substantial
income.
Ken Evoy's 5 Pillars
- the
best affiliate support of any program bar none,
high commissions, great conversion, rebrandable ebooks.
This is the site that pays $125 on the top selling Sitebuildit
program. Ken's site is ranked in the top 300 sites on the
web according to Alexa.com ratings. What better proof do
you get that his program works?
Aweber Autoresponder
-residual commissions, any web business
needs autoresponder service, high conversion rate
Profits
Vault Monthly - get
only two affiliates and your membership is free and you
also make $10 a month. Although this is only one tiered,
you have to join to be an affiliate (you get paid). Instant
commission payment through Paypal.
